  Model Name:  Wright Martin V

The Wright-Martin Aircraft Company hired Vought as its Chief Aeronautics  executive in an attempt to win contracts in World War I. Vought designed the Wright-Martin V of which one was built  in 1916.

It was the first American-designed and built airplane to fly with the Hispano Suiza engine. Upon landing after  the maiden flight, test pilot Howard Rinehart reported, “beyond a doubt, it is the most powerful flying machine  of its kind in the world.”
